James Michael "Mike" Lundy
April 23rd 1954-Apri12nd 2012
Mike lived life to the fullest and had many interests and talents. He pursued his interest in
aviation, frequently piloting his 1964 Piper Cherokee airplane with friends and family.
He loved tinkering with motorcycles, antique radios, cars and boats. He had a passion for
music and loved to play guitar. Mike was employed at Carter Machinery as a
heavy-equipment mechanic for over 25 years. His sense of humor was one of his most
endearing qualities. Above all he was a loving husband, father, brother and friend to
many and will be dearly missed.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Maynard Douglas Lundy, mother, Cuba "Gay"
Mullins Lundy and brother-in-law Tom Drewry. Mike is survived by his devoted wife of
35 years Linda Drewry Lundy, daughter Whitney Anne Lundy, sister Melissa Lundy
Milam and husband Dave Milam, sisters-in-law; Brenda Steele and husband Thomas,
Deborah Cox and husband Kenny and Judy Drewry. Also surviving are brothers-in-law
Aubrey Drewry Jr. and wife Liz, Victor Drewry and wife Anita, mother-in-law Pearl M.
Drewry, neices: Laura and Jessica Craig, Trayce Coe, Alison Cowling and nephews Greg
Steele, Tim and Jonathan Drewry and Andrew and Dale Drewry and Tommy Drewry Jr.
Mike is also survived by his uncle, Joe Tom Mullins and wife Patricia in Yuma, Arizona
as well as his aunt Erma Lee Belcher and family of Mt. Morris, MI.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ALS Association, Muscular Dystrophy
Association or Good Samaritan Hospice. A visitation will be held at Oakey's South Chapel on Friday, April 6th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. There will be a private
service for family on Saturday April 7th.
