Marianne Dudley
We are pleased to announce the Oakey’s Hospice Caregivers Award winner for September 2016 is Marianne Dudley of Medi Home Health and Hospice.
Marianne was nominated for this award by her peers, friends and hospice families for her dedicated service to hospice patients and their families.

“My Husband was previously with another hospice company. When he was switched to Medi Home he was seen and treated every day by Marianne Dudley. He had a terrible pressure ulcer on his foot. After 8 months of care, it has completely healed. Mrs. Dudley has shown not only her knowledge but has compassion for all her patients here at Runk & Pratt. I can tell she thoroughly loves her job. To me and a few other family members that have selected Medi Home Hospice, she deserves an award.”

“Marianne is a very caring person who treats her patients with dignity and respect. She is very knowledgeable. She has only been caring for my husband, Tony Short, for a short time but I have witnessed her caring for the other residents at Runk & Pratt. I feel so much better now that I have her caring for Tony. I highly recommend her for your Hospice Caregivers Award.”

“I keep thinking back to the time of Reba’s end of life. She always had the loving attention of family, but she also had two other outstanding caregivers who went above and beyond to keep her comfortable. One was Marianne Dudley with Medi Home Health and Hospice in Roanoke. Marianne was always available with supplies, advice, comfort, wisdom, prayers…anything we needed of her. She was a very special support person for all of us who were there in the final weeks. She was warm and tender, and she loved Reba. She MADE the doctor provide the necessary meds when he was not prompt in getting the prescriptions to the pharmacy. Marianne had cared for Reba many years ago after her hip joint was removed and home health care was needed for a wound that wouldn’t heal. Marianne was an angel on this earth helping us get Reba through to the end.”
